I started making work like these earrings when my friends and I did an artist challenge on day. We all had to make a ring based on our favorite artists. Lee Bontecou has long been one of my favorites and I made a design similar to this. That set me off on a while new design course.
Here are my abstract circle design brass earrings. The brass is hammered to make it the matte finish shimmer a little bit, but not be too flashy. The web-esque design is slightly rounded, too, to add a bit of dimension. The hooks are handmade hardened sterling silver.
Due to the handmade nature, no two are identical. The total length is 2 1/4 inches. The width is 1 3/4 inches.
Cleaning these earrings is super easy! You can use a polishing cloth for light tarnish. For heavier tarnish, feel free to use a dip like Tarnex. Just be sure to wash the earrings off with soap and water and dry thoroughly.
These earrings will come packed in a gift box perfect for giving!
